Accessing CMU-SV’s wireless network
CMU-SV maintains protected wireless networks in Building 23 and Building 19.
For users affiliated with CMU (those having an active Andrew ID), connecting to the wireless network on the CMU Silicon Valley campus is the same as in Pittsburgh. The following are detailed instructions for connecting to CMU–SECURE:
For visitors:
- Connect to CMU–GUEST given< an access code to an “event” created by sponsoring faculty or staff
- Other Wi–Fi Access
The Silicon Valley campus follows the airspace guidelines set by Carnegie Mellon's Computing Services division. The guidelines apply to all users of the CMU wireless networks, including students, faculty, and staff members as well as those holding sponsored, guest, or courtesy accounts.
