Commuting to CMU-SV

Pro tip:

All CMU-SV students get unlimited Caltrain and VTA access. If you're planning to take public transit, living near a Caltrain or VTA station can make your commute a whole lot easier.

There are a few main ways students get to CMU-SV each day. Your choice of housing may depend on how you plan to commute.

Walking, biking, or scootering

If you live close to CMU-SV, this is a great option. It’s affordable, reliable, and popular with many students.

Driving

If you live farther away or want more flexibility, having a car can be helpful. Parking at CMU-SV is free and easy to find. Just keep in mind that traffic and gas prices in the area can be high.
