His research revolves around interpretability and accountability for privacy and fairness in machine learning pipelines. His work also includes probabilistic programming and formal methods with applications to privacy and information security. Prior to joining CMU, Piotr was a post-doctoral researcher at CMU CyLab and the University of Maryland where he completed his Ph.D. within the Programming Languages group (PLUM).
